Jonathan Woolston, is our resident luthier who has been making and restoring violins, violas and cellos for over 30 years. In this time, he has worked for top musicians all over the world and is gaining recognition as a bow maker offering a bow repair service.
His career as a luthier originally started as a guitar maker for Fylde Guitars in Lancashire. This led indirectly to a Violin Making Degree from the Newark School in 1985. His work experience as a restorer has accumulated in various ateliers - most notably the Manhattan workshop of Jacques Francais where he worked with Rene Morel and a team of world class craftsmen.
